Basic Info BioCreated in the spirit of my experience of the classic LJ community, this journal is intended for me to network within the global community exclusively with people I do not know in person. None of the content is of a particularly personal nature, though the images are derived from my sense of different expressions of the manifest divine and so in that sense are intimate. The inward function of this blog is that of a virtual mandala -- a meditation on the depth and unknowability of being as it relates to aesthetics, science, ancient history, popular culture and the seemingly mundane. This is a tantric perspective. The outward function is not entirely clear to me yet, but should reify in time. From the outside perspective, it could be just a collection of groovy things to look at, and that's fine.
My friend-adding policy is casual and inclusive, though not without discrimination. Here is what I look for in scanning journals:
1) A salient sense of aesthetic expression.
2) Shakti -- for those just tuning in, let's just call this 'generative power', or 'juiciness'.
3) Venn Diagram Value -- that is, significant overlap in our character, orientation, and interests enough to furnish a common vocabulary, with enough difference to make it interesting.
4) Geographical Diffusion -- there are many places on Earth that I may never visit, and I would be grateful for the chance to live vicariously through you.
